DiFluid Airwave Roast Smoke Eliminator

The DiFluid Airwave Roast Smoke Eliminator is a smoke and odour filtration accessory that fits to an existing home or small-batch roaster. It breaks down the smoke coming off a roast instead of just venting it outside, using a NovaCat catalytic filter that handles batches up to 1kg.

NovaCat Catalytic Filtration

The catalyst breaks smoke and volatile organic compounds down chemically, leaving carbon dioxide and water rather than an unpleasant load in the air. Airflow adjusts from 30% up to 100%, moving as much as 130 cubic metres an hour and the system runs in standard, extreme, or fan-only modes depending on what a roast actually needs.

Safety and Maintenance

An automatic shut-off protects the unit if internal temperatures climb past a safe limit and the chaff collector and catalyst module are both designed to be cleaned and reused rather than thrown away. A self-clean cycle is recommended roughly every 50kg of roasted coffee, and both the heating coils and the catalyst are available as replacement parts when they eventually wear out.

Fits Into A DiFluid Roasting Setup

Pair it with OmniFlux and Airwave adjusts its airflow automatically as the roast progresses, instead of running on a single fixed setting the whole time. It connects via a loose or a fully sealed duct installation depending on your setup and stays quiet enough for daily use at under 76 decibels, without needing a separate space just to house it.
